The two-block R&D building is a four-story building with a total floor area is 21,225sqm. It has been designed to comply with the Malaysian Green Building Index (GBI). The new R&D building house 65 laboratories including the Exploration and Production Research Laboratories.
TROX supplied products that ensure every room pressure is maintained in accordance with the Consultant’s design. These include TROX type RN Constant Airflow Controllers that are installed to ensure that the flexible local exhaust ventilation hood extraction is maintained at a constant airflow. TROX type TVB-A Variable Air Volume boxes with BACnet controllers providing fast action actuator responses to a BAS signal ensure just sufficient supply air flow from the air handling unit to maintain the correct room pressure. Chilled water temperature is controlled by a room thermostat to control the room temperature.
With TROX products laboratory users are ensured a comfortable temperature and safety in terms of constantly maintained pressure.
