Air-water System Project Return to Hong Kong

The air water system was a topic for a brief period of time in around 12 years ago TROX even secured one prestigious project from an international banking corporation for their data centre offices. Unfortunately, it went off quietly as it came. In the last few years there were signs of projects coming back though in small scale, primarily in the government sector, where in each of the latest government buildings, one floor or even a few rooms were designed to cater air water equipment.


TROX have fortunately secured a few such orders from Inland Revenue Tower (DID632) and Hong Kong Post Headquarters (DID632), and order intention from Cyberport Expansion project (DID642).

In the commercial sector, TROX secured active chilled beams (DID642) for ATAL Tower where our distributor is going to showcase the air water system in comparison with traditional VAV system installed in other floors of the same building. An exciting project is the One Island East building where SWIRE Property has allocated half of one office floor retrofitted to active chilled beams (DID604). The project is near its completion and SWIRE is planning to monitor the system operation through the four seasons of Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring to gather data from people’s reaction to the new system and energy consumptions.


These developments are encouraging and good signs for the air water system slowly coming back to the market. TROX are ready to take the opportunities.
