The new TROX DID-EW is specially designed for use in hotel rooms, in hospital patient rooms and other applications where the air distribution devise should not be visible in the ceiling. The DID–EW fits directly into the wall or bulk head and is finished with an architecturally pleasing linear bar grille.
 
The DID-EW is a single way discharge active chilled beam with 3 different nozzles sizes and is available in lengths between 900mm to 3000mm, so can be suited to many applications.
 
As there is not any filter in the unit it is almost maintenance free, therefore only requiring maintenance every couple of years.
 
The DID-EW uses chilled water above the room dew point thereby ensuring that the coil doesn’t get wet which prevents bacteria from breeding and ensures a healthy environment which is so important in hotel and hospital applications.
 
Unlike fan coil units, there is not a fan and therefore no motor. This ensures that the DID-EW does not generate any noise which provides hotel guests and hospital patients with the opportunity for a good rest.
 
On request the DID-EW can be connected to a condensation pipe to allow the unit to operate below the room dew point which could be a benefit in hotel rooms with bathrooms.
